Monastery Beach, also known as San Jose Creek Beach, is famous for its challenging shore entry and exit, but rewards divers with a kelp forest and a sandy bottom that drops off into a deep underwater canyon. Divers can encounter sea otters, harbor seals, and a variety of fish species.
