Description
Cerianthus is one of the most well-known genera within the Cerianthidae family, comprising species often referred to as tube-dwelling anemones. These anemones are distinguished by their large size, vibrant colors, and the array of long tentacles that they use for capturing food. Cerianthus species are found in a variety of marine environments, from shallow reefs to deeper, darker waters, where they anchor themselves in soft substrates using their secreted tubes.
