Paraphyllina [Paraphyllina]

Description
Paraphyllina is a lesser-known genus within the family Periphyllidae, comprising species of deep-water jellyfish. These jellyfish are characterized by their gelatinous, transparent bodies and a relatively simple structure compared to other members of their family. Not much is known about their behavior or ecology due to the challenges of studying organisms in their deep-sea habitats. However, like other deep-sea jellyfish, they are presumed to play a role in the deep-sea food web, consuming smaller planktonic organisms and serving as prey for larger predators.
