Saddle wrasse [Kuhnia splotargus]

Description
The saddle wrasse or Kuhnia splotargus is a marine species that thrives in the Western Pacific. These fish are identified by their unique coloration: males have a bright green body with a red stripe along the dorsal fin, while females and juveniles are red-brown with white stripes. They are diurnal, active during the day and rest in the reef at night. They are omnivorous, feeding on a diet of algae and small invertebrates.
