Whip Fin Sole [Asterorhombus intermedius]

Description
The Whip Fin Sole is a species of flatfish in the family Bothidae. It is found in the Western Indian Ocean, including the Red Sea, and the Pacific Ocean, as far east as Samoa. The species inhabits sandy or muddy substrates of coastal waters, estuaries, and lagoons. The Whip Fin Sole is characterized by its asymmetrically shaped body with eyes on the left side. It can reach up to 30 cm in length.
