Atlantic Footballfish [Himantolophus groenlandicus]
Description
The Atlantic footballfish is found in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is similar to the crested footballfish in that the females are much larger than the males and have a bioluminescent lure. The Atlantic footballfish can be distinguished from other species by its unique skin coloration and pattern.
