Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray [Taeniura lymma]

Description
A species of stingray in the family Dasyatidae. The Bluespotted Ribbontail Ray is recognizable due to its bright blue spots on its oval, elongated body and large, protruding eyes. It is found across the tropical Indian and western Pacific Oceans, ranging from the intertidal zone to a depth of 30 m. This bottom-dwelling species spends most of its time hidden in sand or mud, often around coral reefs.
