Cowtail Stingray [Pastinachus sephen]

Description
The Cowtail Stingray is a species of stingray in the family Dasyatidae, often found throughout the tropical to subtropical Indo-Pacific from the Red Sea and East Africa to Papua New Guinea, north to Japan, and south to Australia. They are distinguishable by their diamond-shaped pectoral fin disc which is wider than long. They are usually found solitary or in loose aggregations, often buried in sand or mud during the day, and are known to be more active at night.
