Dwarf Water Nymph [Najas minor]

Description
Najas minor, also known as the dwarf water nymph or brittle water nymph, is a species of aquatic plant native to Europe and Asia, but has become an invasive species in North America. It is a submersed plant that grows in a variety of freshwater habitats, including lakes, ponds, and slow-moving streams. It has slender, branching stems and small, narrow leaves. Unlike N. marina, the leaves of N. minor are not toothed. The flowers are inconspicuous and the fruits are small, dry achenes.
