Flat Brain Coral [Favia speciosa]

Description
Favia speciosa, commonly known as Flat Brain Coral, is a species of marine cnidarian in the family Mussidae. It occurs in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the southwest and northern Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Andaman Sea and the seas off Indonesia, northwards to Japan, southwards to northern Australia and eastwards to the Pacific Ocean. It is a zooxanthellate species and forms massive or encrusting colonies on reefs in shallow water.
