Four-eyed Sole [Dagetichthys quadrifilis]

Description
The Four-eyed Sole is a marine flatfish that is found in coastal and estuarine waters. It is named for the two spots on its dorsal fin that resemble eyes. This species prefers soft, sandy or muddy bottoms where it can burrow to hide from predators. The Four-eyed Sole can grow up to 35 cm in length and feeds primarily on small crustaceans and other invertebrates.
