Giant Herring [Elops hawaiensis]

Description
Giant Herrings, also scientifically known as Elops hawaiensis, are predominantly found in tropical and subtropical waters. They are known for their elongated, slender bodies and forked tail fins. Their coloration is generally silver, with a blue or greenish back. They can reach lengths up to 1.5 meters, making them one of the larger species in the herring family. They are strong swimmers and are known for their spectacular leaps out of the water. Their diet primarily consists of small fish and invertebrates.
