Description

Glass Shrimp is a marine shrimp species that is nearly transparent, hence the name. It has a unique swimming behavior that resembles hovering, achieved by continuously beating its pleopods. The species is native to the waters of the western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida to Brazil, and can be found in a variety of habitats, including coral reefs, mangroves, and seagrass beds.
