Description
Hargicotyle trachuri is a parasitic flatworm that infests the gills of the horse mackerel. Like other species in its genus, it has a haptor at the posterior end of its body which it uses to attach to the host, and a large oral sucker at the anterior end for feeding. It is distinguishable from other species in the genus by the shape and size of its reproductive organs.
