Hourglass Dolphin [Lagenorhynchus cruciger]

Description
The Hourglass Dolphin is a small species of dolphin that is well adapted for the cold, inhospitable waters of the Antarctic. This species is recognized by its unique black and white patterning, which is reminiscent of an hourglass shape, hence its name. Hourglass Dolphins are typically around 1.8 meters in length and are known for their playful and energetic behavior. They are often seen in the company of other marine mammals, such as seals and whales. Despite living in such remote locations, they are considered one of the most abundant species in the Antarctic waters, although their exact population size is unknown.
