Hyalonema gurjanovae [Hyalonema gurjanovae]

Description
Hyalonema gurjanovae is a species of glass sponge found in the North Pacific Ocean. Little is known about this species, but it presumably shares the common features of the Hyalonema genus, including a globular body, a long stem of spicules for anchoring, and a filter-feeding lifestyle. Its habitat and specific behaviors are largely unknown due to the challenges of studying deep-sea species.
