Risso's Dolphin [Grampus griseus]

Description
Risso's Dolphin, also known as Grampus, is the only species in the genus Grampus. They are typically 10 feet long, although some may reach up to 14 feet. Their robust body is grey with a lighter underside and is often covered with linear scars. They have a bulbous head, no beak, and a tall, falcate dorsal fin. Risso's Dolphins are found worldwide in temperate and tropical waters, both offshore and inshore, typically in deeper waters over the outer continental shelf. They feed primarily on squid, but also consume fish. They are known for their acrobatic behavior, including breaching and surface slapping.
