Rufus lanternfish [Diaphus rufus]
Description
A marine species that lives in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a deep-water species, typically found at depths of 400 - 600m. Known for its distinctive red color and the presence of photophores. It feeds on small fish and zooplankton.
