Description
The Short-beaked Common Dolphin is a species of dolphin that is found worldwide in off-shore temperate waters. It is characterized by its distinctive hourglass pattern on the side and a tricolor scheme. They are known for their playful behavior, often riding the bow wave created by boats, and have a diet that consists mainly of small schooling fish and squid. An adult Short-beaked Common Dolphin can reach a length of 2.3 to 2.7 meters and weigh between 70 and 150 kilograms.
