Description

The Southern Parchment Tube Worm is a marine species found in the waters off the southern coast of Africa. Like its American counterpart, it lives in a tube made of a parchment-like substance. The worm is nocturnal, extending its tentacles at night to capture food particles in the water. The body is elongated and soft, with colors varying from orange to brown. Its tentacles are white.
