Splendid lanternfish [Diaphus splendidus]

Description
A marine species found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It is a mesopelagic species, typically found at depths of 200 - 400m. It is distinguished by its slender body, large eyes, and the presence of photophores. It feeds on small fish and zooplankton.
