Spotted Stonefish [Synanceia nana]

Description
The Spotted Stonefish is found in the tropical waters of the Western Pacific. It has a mottled brown or grey coloration with a white belly, which aids in camouflage. It is smaller than other species, reaching only about 12 centimeters. It has 13 dorsal spines that are venomous and can cause fatal injuries to humans.
