Description
Enhalus acoroides, commonly known as tape seagrass, is a species of marine flowering plant in the family Hydrocharitaceae. The species is found throughout the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific, in shallow coastal waters and lagoons. The plants are dioecious, with male and female flowers occurring on separate plants. The leaves are long and ribbon-like, reaching up to 150 cm in length and 2 cm in width. The fruit, which is a large berry, is buoyant and often carried by the current before settling and germinating.
