Violet-tailed Sylph [Collinsia vittata]

Description
The Violet-tailed Sylph is a hummingbird species native to Colombia and Ecuador. They inhabit humid montane forests and secondary forests at elevations of 300 to 2,400 meters. They are known for their iridescent green body and long, violet tail feathers. They primarily feed on nectar from various flowering plants, and males are known to be territorial at feeding sites.
