Description
Najas marina, commonly known as the water nymph or spiny water nymph, is a species of aquatic plant native to Europe, Asia, North America, and North Africa. It has a submersed growth habit and grows in fresh to brackish waters. It has slender, branching stems and small, narrow leaves that are toothed on the margins. It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants. The fruits are small, dry achenes.
