Maoricrypta [Maoricrypta]

Description
Maoricrypta is a genus of small, cryptic marine snails with flattened, spirally coiled shells. These gastropods are primarily found in the cool waters of New Zealand, where they inhabit intertidal and shallow subtidal zones. They are adapted to live in crevices and under rocks, feeding on microalgae and detritus. The shells of Maoricrypta species are often camouflaged, blending in with their surroundings to avoid predation.
