Description
Abietinaria comprises slender, branched hydroids resembling miniature firs. Their colonies are usually attached to rocks and other hard substrates in cold to temperate waters. These organisms are characterized by their polyps housed in protective, chitinous tubes called hydrothecae, which are arranged in two rows along the branches.
