Hawaiian Ghostshrimp [Imogine hawaiiensis]

Description
The Hawaiian Ghostshrimp, or Imogine hawaiiensis, is a marine crustacean endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. It is found at depths ranging from the intertidal zone to about 40 meters. Like other species in the genus, it is a burrower, creating complex networks in sandy or muddy substrates. It is nocturnal, feeding on detritus and small invertebrates. The body coloration is usually pale or transparent, making it difficult to spot.
