Description
The Elegant Wedge Shark is a species of cestode parasite found in the Atlantic Ocean. It is a parasite of deep-water sharks, specifically the Portuguese shark, Centroscymnus coelolepis, and the Gulper shark, Centrophorus granulosus. The species is distinguished by its elongated shape, its scolex (head) which is armed with hooklets, and its mature proglottids, which are longer than they are wide.
