Description
This species measures around 4 centimeters in length, with a shell that is reddish-brown to purple-black in color. The shell is oval-shaped and has a short beak, and it is adorned with numerous spines. The Spiny Lamp Shell is found in the North Pacific Ocean, burrowing in soft sediments at depths of 10-200 meters. It feeds by filtering plankton and organic particles from the water.
