Stellate Turban [Astralium stellare]
Description
Stellate Turban is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae. It has a shell with a low spire and a large, rounded body whorl. The shell base is white with a brownish or purplish color, and the interior is dark brown. This species is widely distributed in the Western Pacific region, from Japan to Australia, and is typically found on rocky substrates at depths of up to 30 meters.
