Thorny chiton [Acanthopleura echinata]

Description
The Thorny chiton is distributed across the Eastern Central Pacific, from the Gulf of California to Peru. This species is commonly found on rocky substrates in the intertidal and subtidal zones, up to a depth of 15 m. It is recognized for its shell plates covered with spines.
