Brazilian chiton [Acanthopleura gemmata]

Description
The Brazilian chiton is endemic to Brazil, particularly the states of Bahia and EspĂrito Santo. It is commonly found on rocky substrates in the intertidal and subtidal zones. This species has a distinctive shell with eight articulating plates covered with numerous small spines.
