Girdled chiton [Acanthopleura brevispina]

Description
The Girdled chiton is distributed in the Eastern Central Pacific, from southern Baja California, Mexico, to Panama. This species is commonly found on rocky substrates in the intertidal zone and is recognized for its shell plates with short spines and a girdle covered with bristles.
