Hairy-Plated Chiton [Notoplax hirta]

Description
This species is commonly found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of New Zealand and Southeast Australia. It has an oval-shaped body, measuring up to 3 cm long, and characterized by its hairy girdle and eight shell plates. The Hairy-Plated Chiton has a varying color from greenish to brown.
