Description
The Deep-sea Chiton, or Nanichiton profundum, is another marine mollusk species belonging to the Polyplacophora class. This species inhabits deep-sea environments, often found at depths exceeding 2000 meters. The Deep-sea Chiton feeds on detritus and is known to be a slow-moving creature. This species is characterized by its segmented shell, composed of eight plates, which are typically a dark, muted color.
