Atlantic Marginella [Prunum alveare]

Description
The Atlantic Marginella is a small species of sea snail with a smooth, glossy shell that is usually white or cream in color. The shell is ovate and thick, with a short spire and a large body whorl. They inhabit the western Atlantic Ocean, from North Carolina to Brazil, living in sandy or muddy substrates at depths of about 10 to 100 meters. They are nocturnal and feed on detritus.
