Description
The Atlantic Spindle is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fasciolariidae. It is predominantly found in the western Atlantic Ocean, ranging from North Carolina to Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. It has a long, spindle-shaped shell that can reach lengths of up to 160 mm. The shell is typically tan or cream-colored with brown stripes. This species is often found in sandy or muddy bottoms in shallow waters.
