Description
Trichobilharzia regenti is a parasitic trematode that resides in the nasal tissue of waterfowl. Unlike other species in the genus Trichobilharzia, T. regenti does not cause swimmer's itch in humans but it is capable of invading the central nervous system, causing neurological symptoms. This species is primarily found in Australia.
