Blacktail Catshark [Parmaturus melanobranchus]

Description
The Blacktail Catshark is a deep-water species known to inhabit the northwestern Pacific Ocean, particularly around Japan and Taiwan. This species has a slender body, and is known for its unique coloration - a dark blackish-brown color on the body fading to black at the tail. Like other catsharks, it is oviparous, with females laying pairs of egg cases.
