Chatham Volute [Alcithoe chathamensis]
Description
Alcithoe chathamensis, also known as the Chatham Volute, is a species of sea snail native to the Chatham Islands of New Zealand. The shell is elongated and spindle-shaped with a complex pattern of light brown or cinnamon-colored markings on a cream or white background.
