Common Chiton [Rhyssoplax polita]

Description
The Common Chiton, or Rhyssoplax polita, is a species of chiton that can be found on rocks in the intertidal zone. It has a smooth, shiny, and often greenish-brown appearance. The species is distinguishable by the eight separate shell plates that overlap slightly at the back and front.
