Common Lamp Shell [Terebratulina septentrionalis]

Description
This species grows up to 2.5 centimeters in length. The shell is smooth and oval-shaped, with a short beak. It is found in the North Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean, usually living in soft sediments at depths of 10-400 meters. The Common Lamp Shell feeds by filtering plankton and organic particles from the water.
