Fish Bladder Fluke [Phyllodistomum umblae]

Description
Phyllodistomum umblae, often referred to as the Fish Bladder Fluke, is a parasitic trematode of the Gorgoderidae family. It is commonly found in the urinary bladders of freshwater fish. The life cycle of this worm involves a snail as an intermediate host, where the larvae develop before infecting fish. The presence of the parasite can cause 'yellow grub disease' in heavily infected fish.
