Granulated Limpet [Patella granatina]

Description
Patella granatina or the Granulated Limpet is a medium-sized species of limpet, with a maximum length of 6 cm. Its shell is conical and slightly elevated, with a rough surface that appears granulated - hence the common name. The color of the shell varies from dark gray to olive green. The Granulated Limpet is typically found in the intertidal zone on rocky shores, where it is often hidden in crevices or under rocks during low tide. It is endemic to the Mediterranean Sea and is found primarily along the coasts of Spain and France.
