Japanese Frog Shell [Tutufa japonica]

Description
Also known as the Japanese Frog Snail. It is a small sea snail, reaching a length of up to 5 cm. The shell is elongated with a short canal. It is heavily covered with strong, curved spines. It inhabits subtidal oceanic waters and is found on sandy substrates near coral reefs. This species is endemic to Japan.
