Magellanic Volute [Voluta magellanica]
Description
The Magellanic volute is a species of large sea snail, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Volutidae. This species is endemic to the waters off the Southern tip of South America, particularly around the Strait of Magellan. The shell of this snail is heavy and thick, with a short spire, and it is usually a reddish-brown color.
