Monoplacophoran Mollusk [Neopilina galatheae]

Description
Neopilina galatheae, known as the Monoplacophoran Mollusk, is a deep-sea species that was discovered during the Galathea expedition in 1952. This species has a cap-shaped shell and a unique body structure with repeated organs, a trait inherited from its ancient ancestors. It usually inhabits deep-sea trenches and is found at depths of around 3,500 meters. Its behavior and diet remain mostly unknown due to the challenges of deep-sea research.
