Description

Podocotyle Atomon is a species of digenean flatworms. This parasite uses marine fishes as its definitive host, residing in the digestive tract where they mature and reproduce. The eggs are then released into the water through the host's feces and infect intermediate hosts, typically gastropods. The larvae mature in these hosts and then infect the definitive host, completing the life cycle.
