Radiant chiton [Callistochiton radiatus]

Description
Radiant chiton, or Callistochiton radiatus, is a marine species that can grow up to 3.5 cm. It has a robust, rounded, elongate body with overlapping shell plates. The color is generally pale yellowish-brown with radiating dark brown stripes, hence the name. This species is known to inhabit the northeastern Pacific Ocean, from Alaska to California. It can be found in rocky areas, from the low intertidal zone to 175 meters deep.
